Overview

Meeting Cost is developed by Matt McFarlane. It lets you estimate the total cost of a meeting or track meeting costs in real time using timers. The app is free to use and supported by ads. A premium version is available via a one-off purchase or subscription through Google Play, which removes ads and unlocks additional features.

This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected, by whom, and how it is used.

Data the App Stores Locally

Any data you enter in Meeting Cost — such as attendee counts, hourly rates, and meeting durations — is stored only on your device and is never sent to any server operated by Matt McFarlane.

Advertising

The free version of Meeting Cost displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalised or non-personalised ads, including:

  • Device identifiers (e.g. Android Advertising ID)
  • App usage and interaction data
  • Coarse location (if permitted)
  • Device information (model, OS version)

This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with their policies. You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings under Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalisation.

Upgrading to premium removes ads and AdMob from the app entirely.

In-App Purchases

Premium access is available as a one-off purchase or subscription through Google Play. All payment processing is handled by Google Play — the app does not receive or store any payment or billing details. Google's handling of purchase data is governed by their Terms of Service.

Data Storage

Meeting Cost does not operate any backend servers or databases. All app data is stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app will remove this data.

Children's Privacy

Meeting Cost is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated occasionally. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
